They know about Putin and there’s no way they will admit him. They will be ok losing USA to stop Russia.

... as soon as they get out of Ukraine and cede Crimea back to Ukraine.

Until then, the reason Russia got kicked out of the G8 is still valid.

India, Brazil, Canada and Italy are all larger. California's economy is significantly larger, and Texas and NY are not far behind Russia in total.

Russia is #11 overall now
