Fox News star Charles Krauthammer reveals he has weeks to live in heartbreaking letter

I left the headline as written.

“However, recent tests have revealed that the cancer has returned,” Krauthammer wrote. “There was no sign of it as recently as a month ago, which means it is aggressive and spreading rapidly. My doctors tell me their best estimate is that I have only a few weeks left to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over.

Cancer is horrendous and I'd not wish that on anyone. May he pass gently.

I don’t hate him or wish any ill on him or his family. I never agreed with him or his mean streak though.

He has written some of the best anti-Trump articles out there. While I rarely agreed with him, he is one of the last intellectual conservatives.

My sympathy to his friends and family.

One of my favorite anti-Trump paragraphs from any columnist - Krauthammer has a PhD in psychology from Harvard, so should know:

This is beyond narcissism. I used to think Trump was an 11-year-old, an undeveloped schoolyard bully. I was off by about 10 years. His needs are more primitive, an infantile hunger for approval and praise, a craving that can never be satisfied. He lives in a cocoon of solipsism where the world outside himself has value — indeed exists — only insofar as it sustains and inflates him.

Would that more people shared that talent. Maybe everyone would listen more.

He had to overcome so much, yet he accomplished much. Godspeed, Dr. Krauthammer.
