As far as "I suspect Sean Hannity really believes it", I suppose Hannity could be that frigging stupid. I think Hannity and Trump have been in bed together for quite a while, and Hannity is just covering for his buddy. He should be able to see what happens to people who cover for Trump though, and it ain't pretty.
