He’s doing things with these tariffs he’s imposing that are actually hurting his base, and he’s doing them deliberately just to win. Iowa’s considerable pig industry is suddenly going to shrink drastically causing many, many pig farmers to lose their livelihoods very suddenly. Too suddenly to survive his grand plan of making a “better deal” with Canada and Mexico over it.

Joni Ernst, famous in the rest of the country for claiming to know all about how to castrate her political opponents because she’s a pig farmer, was on MSNBC trying to look like she gets Trump’s tactics, but in reality begging Trump to hurry up so her constituents won’t lose everything before his grand plan ruins Iowa.

In truth I can’t think of a single thing he’s done that doesn’t really hurt this country.
