Just listening to CNN ...

… where they’re discussing Trump’s proposal that Russia be readmitted to the G-7.

Everyone is asking why would he do so. Journalists who have spoken to WH staffers report that this proposal was never discussed; this policy was never debated nor its consequences analyzed. It came as a shocking surprise to everyone.

And yet they’re all asking why Trump would make such a statement.

Isn’t it FUCKING OBVIOUS by now? Trump is Putin’s bitch, that’s why.

There has been nothing that Trump has done since taking office that hasn’t been exactly what Vlad wants done.

Jesus Hussein Christ, people – are you really THAT fuckin’ blind?

Trump lies?

I suspect that they are all well aware of the fact that every time Dolt45 opens his trap and says something that (to them and to us) sounds traitorous, they're nervous about calling it that. They're waiting for Mueller et al to show absolute proof. And I'm sure they're as anxious as we all are for that proof to be out in public. And then, Donnie, you will be up shit's creek without a paddle. I can't believe that his supporters will continue kissing his rump when they find out he is totally beholden to Mother Russia -- and that includes Faux Noise. Already there are some there who are desperately trying to distance themselves because it's becoming more and more clear that Donnie is indeed a Russian asset. If they are at all knowledgeable about Putin then they cannot help but view every statement Donnie makes -- especially this last one about Russia rejoining the Group of 7 -- as the strongest piece of evidence.

Sat Jun 9, 2018, 08:28 PM

Like 1/3 of the population has been convinced that actual fact checked journalism is biased, leftist propaganda.

The big lie wasn't Fox saying for decades that it was "fair and balanced". Everyone could tell that they said that with a wink and a nod and that they're partisan. But, where they really succeeded was in convincing a wide swath of the population that the New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times and actual truth seeking journalism is equally as biased as them, but from the left.

Part of the reason that Trump has succeeded is that 40% of the population has been conditioned to discount reality. Trump crudely slams it home by calling it fake news, but the groundwork has been laid for him for 30 years.

Since when has Spanky been "subtle" about anything?

He's been blatantly obvious about everything - distancing us from our allies, insulting them while praising Putin, refusing to implement sanctions against Russia, pulling out of the Paris Accord, demeaning the work of NATO and the UN, sowing division among citizens, insisting that our government agencies are corrupt, installing incompetent cronies in cabinet positions who are now literally destroying them from within, calling Russian interference in our elections a "hoax" that requires no investigation - need I go on?

Where was the "subtlety" in literally disclosing highly classified information to the Russians while meeting with them in a closed-door meeting RIGHT IN THE OVAL OFFICE?

"Wouldn't he want to be more subtle if that was the case?"

Surely you jest.

Well, remember Putin was bragging just recently about how often he and Trump talk, so I'm sure some of those conversations were about Putin saying he wanted Trump to bring up getting Russia back in the G-7. What else can these 2 be talking about other than what Trump's orders are. The interesting part would be to hear the discussions about how Trump will get out of his Mueller problem.

So many members of the infotainment industry are unwilling to call facts facts and lies lies, as if every statement is an equally valid "opinion" (out of some warped sense of what constitutes fairness). And the false equivalencies are enough to make me scream. A Democratic "extremist" wants single-payer health care sooner rather than later. A Republican extremist wants to bring back slavery and burn LGBTQ persons at the stake.

The GOP's "liberal media" campaign has been highly successful and has undoubtedly contributed greatly to the very issues I just mentioned. Instead of countering it with their own effective narrative, Democrats have been on the defensive lo these past few decades, as the problem has gotten increasingly worse.

Democrats need to be talking about the GOP's false narrative, a corporatized media that promotes false equivalencies, a corporatized media that thinks 2+2=4 is just as valid as 2+2=17, and advocating for media literacy to be taught in every school.

It's not enough for late night comedians to be talking about how abysmal the media is. Democrats need to hit back, and hard. Take control of the narrative for a change.

Trumpy is an evil traitor whose allegiance is with a foreign adversary. He represents RUSSIA! He’s NOT loyal to the Constitution and never was. Yet the mainstream media covers their collective ears and eyes and denies the obvious, to our detriment and endangerment. What’s especially dangerous is the GOP’s passivity. They’re on board with the disintegration of the Constitution, right along with Putin. They have no shame, no decency. They are in full traitor mode along with Trumpy.

To render another kind of assessment is to deny reality.

1) He didn't pay attention to the global outcry over the military annexation of Crimea;
2) He did have a problem with Putin's annexation of Crimea;
3) He spoke with Putin hours or minutes before leaving for the G-7;
4) He believes Putin walks on water.

Later in the program the question was asked ... why wasn't the press asking more questions of tRump? Why were they letting him getting away with his completely unhinged statements?

Unfortunately, most of M$M hasn't done its job in years.
