GOP candidate for June 12 special election seeks to outlaw hormonal contraception,

In his campaign against Democrat Caleb Frostman in the hotly contested special election for Senate District 1, Rep. André Jacque has been hiding from his long, ultra-extremist record of undermining women’s access to health care.

Jacque, the most strident anti-choice activist in the Assembly, has pushed legislation that would have seriously jeopardized health-care access for Wisconsin women — including a law banning common forms of birth control.

“No one in the Wisconsin legislature is more extreme on women’s health issues than André Jacque,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin communications director Melanie Conklin. “Jacque champions legislation that would have — quite literally — put Wisconsin women’s lives at risk. His backwards and extreme ideas have no place in the state Senate.”

Over the years, André Jacque has made it his mission to eliminate women’s health-care options, taking stances so extreme it even caused fellow Republicans to distance themselves from him. As a state representative, Jacque introduced a constitutional amendment to make all abortions illegal with no exceptions for victims of rape and incest or women whose life was at a risk. He’s even voted to curb women’s access to birth control, going so far as seeking to ban all forms of hormonal contraception.

How would he like it if screening for prostate cancer were outlawed? Let's make possession of Viagra an automatic 10 year sentence.

This is a perfect example of him cramming his religion down other people's throats.

lived there until my 20's when the husband's job took us to Illinois and then to Iowa.

We barely recognize our home state anymore.

It's sad when frikkin' Tommy Thompson looks like a liberal in comparison to the critters who currently run the show there.

Take this asshole. God forbid there be a woman, SOMEWHERE, incapable of honoring the gift of His Glorious Seed.

What a worthless knuckledragger.

No more control for all the little slut Missies; they're gonna breed as Gawd and their Men order them to.

Ban hormonal birth control...what an ass. I'd laugh if I didn't know better, but I do; these fools think Handmaids Tale is an Instruction Manual.

as long as it hurts the poor, fucks over LBGT people and minorities, but it sure is amazing to see them turn into full fledge fascist when it comes to controlling ones body or any kind of personal freedoms that their small minded religion doesn't accept.

eliminate birth control, too. And a couple of their candidates came out to run against masturbation, Santorum and O'Donnell.
