I see them just fine even if I am not logged in. True, they sometimes will take several seconds to load but other than that...

Maybe people using limited phones can't see them.

there is no way for twitter to know whether I, a participant in a forum with a different name, have a twitter account.

Now you can't click on the tweet and go to twitter to read it there, I guess. Not sure about that. But you can sure read it in DU.

13. How else except through a tweet would I be able to see

this really terribly tragic news. I have tears in my eyes just in writing this.
I live next to an Hispanic family and they are extremely nice people.
Three beautiful girls and the father is a gem. They are here legally.

But I sometimes look at him when he's out by his car and imagine what it would be like
if he were separated in any way from his family. I can't imagine it. He couldn't imagine it. How horrible it would be.

And then this. My heart goes out to this family.
