Trump is staying in the Shangri-La Singapore's "Presidential Suite." Obama slept there. Uh-oh.

There is also a large balcony that offers a spectacular panoramic view of the lush gardens, swimming pool and exteriors of the two other wings of the Shangri-la. But the highlight to me is the imperial-looking master bedroom – made even more so by the very fact that the likes of Obama, George Bush and President Aquino of the Philippines had slept in the bed – complete with Italian silk bedspreads – gracing the room. As if the level of detail is not enough, all guests staying in the suite are presented with their own personalized bathrobes, pillowcases and stationery.

PRESIDENTIAL SUITE

The crème de la crème of opulent living

Selected as one of the "Top 101 Suites in the World" by Elite Traveler Magazine within a year of the hotel’s opening, our 269sqm (2,896sqf) Presidential Suite offers a truly unique experience of palatial living with breath-taking views of the Imperial Gardens and Mount Fuji from a double-height open-plan living and dining room.

Make an entrance via a separate black marble grand foyer with a double-sided contemporary fireplace and original folded paper artwork by the Japanese artist Yuko Nishimura. An adjacent sybaritic in-room private spa room (perfect for a moment of deep relaxation), fully equipped kitchen, and powder room set the tone for the suite’s ultra-luxe penthouse ambience.

Inside, the airy double-height open-plan living and dining area accommodates up to ten guests in a seamless blend of contemporary style and Asian elegance. A timeless palette of ivory, caramel and bronze is complemented with opulent velvets, rich silks and lacquer, as well as a carefully curated collection of original art sculptures, classic Chinese accessories and Baccarat ‘Torch’ crystal lamps designed by Arik Lévy.

The large master bedroom is decorated in subtle shades of bronze and cream with a pair of comfortable wing-back armchairs, while the adjoining bathroom, accessed via striking double doors incorporates a private gym equipped with timber-sprung flooring, weights and a state-of-the-art treadmill/elliptical machine. The large walk-in dressing room is designed to delight any visiting fashionistas. A sublime cream and silver-grey marble bathroom includes a separate mosaic steam room and window-side oversized Jacuzzi bath that offers a spectacular panoramic view over the city.

Special touches including binoculars in the living room, traditional hand-embroidered throw pillows and original art by Chinese artist Feng Linzhung, allow guests to enjoy the city without leaving the luxury of this home-away-from-home.

This suite can connect to an adjoining Deluxe Room.

are the republicans sticking us taxpayers with the bill for the North Korean despot? They really need to stop squandering our tax bucks on shifty shit and murderers and stuff.

The last thing I read was that the U.S. was "open to paying" but the preference was to have Singapore pay some, if not all, of the tab.

$6000 a night.

Sweet Jesus.

because nobody is going to want to sleep there after Trump is through "christening" the bed that Obama slept in.

Trump is so pissed off (no pun intended) over the Russia "tapes" that he could very well make history repeat itself in this bed, just out of spite.

It is wasted on him. If it's not done all out in third-world tacky dictator chic, he doesn't appreciate it. Not one gold plated thing in the entire suite!

fake gold for trump.

It really needs to have that grotesque, TV evangelical, "this is how it looks in heaven" appeal.
