Scott Tucker was convicted of racketeering via a pa-day lender company he owned. Largest fine ever by the FEC, some say 2 billion, some say 1.3 billion.
Before he was sentenced to his 16 years in prison, this Jan., he, his wife, his mother, were interviewed for "Dirty Money",
A Netflix Series about the greed, corruption, and crime spreading through the global economy.
Arrested, tried, convicted, but he and his family all angry, they say THEY are the victims, it is the Government's fault for picking on him, for seizing all his very expensive toys, race cars, houses, etc. and for "murder" because his brother, who was part of the crime, committed suicide rather than prison.
Besides, other people are doing the same thing, Payday lending. So there!
Come to find out, he "spent a year in prison related to a bank fraud scheme" 1991-1992

(6,556 posts)I am 3 years older than tRump and he has been getting "bad" press since his teens along with father Fred. My sister adores tRump and we no longer speak! I really thought she was smarter than this. I was wrong, but not about tRump.

(16,846 posts)Those people really have a lot of nerve to complain about the sentence after what they did. Let it be a lesson to others. Like I give a shit that he's losing his race cars! He'll have some nice stories to tell his bunk mates in the big house.

(12,424 posts)I just finished watching it. The gall of these people, and the irony of how they complain about the justice system being rigged, not even contemplating how their business was so monumentally rigged against consumers. If the USPS went back into retail banking, these loan sharks would become extinct.

(22 posts)There are a number of people out there who are certain that they are geniuses because they are smart enough to break the rules to their own advantage while everyone else is not. Once they get caught and have to pay for their crime, they are convinced that they are being singled out for unfair punishment to pay for their crimes.
I imagine that Trump and his minions are made of such stuff.
