We need people to run in some uncontested Republican elections in Florida

I don't even know how this happened but there are Republicans running with no Democrat challengers.

We need people to step up and challenge.

And unfortunately I can't find the exact locations of the openings. Maybe someone can provide this information.

Did the local dems drop the ball, or the national dems, or both, or neither? Why is any republican running unchallenged?

These uncontested Races usually are in Rural Districts. For the average Joe or Jane who wants to make a difference, they are not able to run a viable Campaign in many of these Districts simply because of the dollars it takes to cover the area.

This is why a certain well to do Family usually controls the Narrative in many Districts. Remember,it does look possible from the outside, but who and what are the dynamics within.

involved in a Rural District type campaign since 2012. And that was in the new District 4 in South Western Utah. We had a great Candidate that was a true Democrat. Our first major object was the dynamics of the new District. One major Religion who vote is lock step with the Rethugs. And they dominate the Electorate by 60% and the running joke is,if it has a R after it's name, well that group automatically vote for it.

As far as funding,we got crapped on from the DCCC and National Party. So,without any war-chest,you know the results. We ended up with some where 26% of the total vote. And this is the same for Nevada Distinct 1,as well as Districts in Eastern Oregon and Washington as well as Idaho and Wyoming. You can only beat your head against the wall for just so long. Until the National Party decides to put full time paid Staff in these Districts to build support, well, you see the real results.

Filing is the first step that needs to be taken before qualifying. Qualifying ends on June 22.

There are Democrats running in many positions in my red county. Not all, but some. It's a start.

Florida's system for getting on the ballot is ridiculous, to say the least. One has to get a certain number of valid signatures on petitions by a certain date or pay to get on the ballot. For US Congress, for example, that's a $10,000 charge.

We have an 18 YO student running for school board this year. He missed getting enough signatures by just a handful. Just yesterday, at our monthly Democratic Women's Club meeting, he raised enough with individual donations, to pay the $1200 required to get on the ballot.
