I have a theory of what Trump's goal is

It actually makes sense and eliminates that question of why Trump would give away his power to Putin or anyone else. That’s simply not in his nature and it’s what keeps us so puzzled.

He plans to isolate the United States so we will be a self contained country and therefore not needing anyone else (the Wall, antagonizing Canada and the world with his tariffs and extreme rudeness, banning immigrants, etc.).

He’s destroying our institutions, including the two other branches of government so someday soon he can eliminate all resistance to him becoming a dictator.

Then he’ll leave the rest of the world hanging out there without our help or protection for Putin to do whatever he wants to.

Voilá. Mission accomplished.

He isn’t handing the US to Putin. He is handing the rest of the world to him. We will just be his exclusive playground. Putin will probably be perfectly fine with it. Who wants to deal with an ungainly country on the other side of the planet anyway. Especially if we let him have the rest of the world?

Once Trump is gone and a Democrat is back in office, I imagine most countries will be more than willing to mend relations.

And if anyone tries to make him it’ll be no skin off his nose to use that nuclear button to nuke a city in the US to establish who’s boss. He does have that power.

to hand it to him. In the 50's they used to talk about the commie's taking over the country. Just look at what's going on now. The GOP is trying to dismantle the country and it appears install Trump as a dictator. I guess that sounds crazy, but WTF, we just have to look at what's going on. Far too many people think this is the old GOP IMO. It's not, it's an invasion force and information limited Americans are driving it along with those on the take. Hopefully the Mueller investigation will trip them up.

by controlling the Oligarchy. Be the dictator who gets a cut off the top of every business or forget about having a business. That would be the ruling class with Trump being who they have to answer to.

It works in Russia.

think this was before the election ... imagine if Russia and the US joined forces and something to the effect ran the world.

He would run it exactly like Putin. And I think the GOP would want it too if the GOP elite got a cut of the action.

I think this country is in dire times. I still think a lot of Americans are asleep at the wheel, and those that still support Trump are so damn clueless ... I don't even think they think at all.

Since we are divulging our personal theories, how about this one: Putin & Russia would like to regain control of Alaska which was sold to the US under the rule of a czar. Would the loyal Trumpsters go for this if the Donald promoted it?

because I’ve never heard about it. I’m still confused though. Is it what North Korea is supposed to be? The masters of the revolution are the masses of the people?

Maybe that’s what they say on paper.

And it wouldn't surprise me if there weren't at least a few factions that were plotting to remove him permanently (making it look like an accident or a foreign government). He is becoming too much of a liability. He is not controllable anymore.

I do not give him that much credit. I see a man who is in over his head, is floundering in every way, and desperate for something he can frame as success. Instead, he fails at everything he tries and then claims he meant to do that.

But he does have the Republicans on his side because they are getting and will continue to get rich. Trump will control the Olygarchy by only allowing them to get rich if they pay him.

He also has his base who will never leave him. At least not until it’s too late.

Meanwhile he’s weakening all our government departments and institutions.

I certainly hope that if I’m right about his intentions that he is floundering badly.
