OTTAWA — Canada’s House of Commons adopted an unusual unanimous resolution Monday backing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau after he was harshly criticized by President Trump, while Americans lent support to their northern neighbor on Twitter through a special hashtag #Thank Canada.

The Canadian Ambassador used to invite his American friends and colleagues to a big July 4th party on the roof of the Canadian Embassy (second best view of the fireworks after the White House balcony), with as band and a cookout buffet and chefs flown in from Quebec.

I wonder if that will be continued this year? Except for the Trumpadors, Canada still has a LOT of friends in Washington. Last times I was there, there were very few Republicans (I can remember exactly two, and one of them was a CNN personality), but Clinton was president, so it made sense that Raymond wasn't working with many Republicans at the time.

A beautiful country that actually gives a damn about its citizens to make sure they all have healthcare unlike these miserable GOP bastards in the US.
