The progress was that Un gets international prestige, while Trumpy gets... well... nothing but news cycles. For 48 "riveting" hours, Trumpy held the undivided attention of the MSM. They were hanging on his every insult, lie, brag, and con game. The MSM bought it full. That's all that Trumpy wanted anyway. He can't negotiate terms of nuclear disarmament (because there won't be any, and he wouldn't know how to start if that actually were an objective). But he wins a couple of news cycles while he acknowledges the fact that he elevated Un to the status of a non-murderer. Now THAT'S why we have Trumpy as president.

I had no expectations from this initial meeting other than an agreement to keep talking.
