The summit is not a strategy. Joseph Yun, a global analyst, is saying that they are disappointed.... missed opportunity to make the area safer via a declaration. The summit should have come last with negotiations, not first.
It is a win for Kim due to all the PR. He is getting what he wanted. No removal of nukes, etc. Kim gets to keep his weapons and now he bought more time for his country. Maybe a few sanctions will be lifted.

(6,229 posts)Nixon had China and was still a crook. Trump looks like he has N Korea, but he's still a crook. Voters usually don't vote foreign policy issues. Let's hope this holds true.
