Sen. Richard Blumenthal Blasts Sessions For Ending Asylum: The Blood Of Refugees Is On Your Hands

“Once again, an administration that claims to be tough on crime is actually just tough on crime victims. Today’s shameful decision by the Attorney General slams the door in the face of women fleeing brutal violence, LGBT refugees fleeing persecution, and thousands of others seeking safety in the United States. America is better than this, but apparently Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not. Today’s decision will send untold numbers of refugees to their deaths. Attorney General Sessions: their blood in on your hands.” – Sen. Richard Blumenthal, via press release.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

or rather, he does care, but it isn't in the way normal humans care about causing the deaths of innocents.

He revels in it. His little face lights up when he speaks of policies that will lead to people dying.
