We meet up at a gathering over New Years most years. This being an election year, he might not feel like going anywhere over the holidays. If he wins, he might come. I'm usually in DC when the Senate is in recess, so I never see him there.

He IS a genuinely nice guy, and although I disagree with him on religion, he's sincere in his beliefs, so I don't begrudge him that.
