Whether or not he actually told Kim hed lift the sanctions is completely irrelevant.
Kims as big a liar as he is, so who knows what the truth is.
Problem now is if he calls Kim a liar then that pretty much sends US-NK relations back to an antagonistic square one except that Kim was able to rassle a photo op with a US President (well, technically a US President) before humiliating him by reneging on him.
If Trump doesnt call Kim a liar, hes basically locked in to lift the sanctions, and NK still wins.
Its a lose-lose for Trump. Guy got played badly.

From a political POV, the only reasonable assumption is: he's not all there. From a legal POV, we should assume he's deliberately wandering the streets naked except for his bunny slippers, in order to avoid a future trial
We get no benefit right now from one single analysis

(665 posts)If they go on , he lied and he loses any trust from any adversarial country anywhere in any future negotiations. If they're cancelled he loses any trust from any allied country anywhere in any future negotiations. And either way, he's lost a good deal of respect from the very military of which he Commander-in-chief.
