McCaskill disputes claim that her RV tour of Missouri last month was more of a fly-over

Source: St Louis Post Dispatch

U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill is disputing a report on a conservative website implying that while her campaign was touting her ground-level RV tour of Missouri last month, the Democratic senator was actually flying overhead in her private plane.

But the campaign confirmed that the plane did in fact have a backup role in the tour — an admission that brought immediate turbulence to a senator for whom air travel has been politically hazardous in the past.

The report in the Washington Free Beacon uses flight tracking data to assert that, while the McCaskill campaign was promoting its three-day “Veterans for Claire” tour across the state in late May, the single-engine turboprop she owns was taking roughly the same route overhead.

The report acknowledges that it doesn’t prove McCaskill herself was flying instead of driving, but it is presented with that implication. “Claire McCaskill’s Private Plane Used on Campaign’s RV Tour Through Missouri,” reads the headline.

Find the article in a neutral source & post it.
Washington Free Beacon is the original source republished in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

She still toured the state.

They must be upset that her opponent, first term Attorney General Hawley, got popped with some questionable campaign donations.

First term-er running for Senate...dude, please. Just do the job you have now.

Washington Free Beacon is a RW rag. Why is WFB seen as anything
but a sensationalist hit on a Democratic candidate during an election year?

And who the f cares how a candidate gets from place to place.
I believe most candidates lease or have access to private planes.

Sen McCaskill is one of our senior Dem candidates fighting her way however she must to keep her long held senate seat which will contribute to a Dem majority .

Explains why a RW rag like the WFree Beacon would make a negative smear out of something the GOP & many Dems & Indys do all the time.

They fly to their campaign destination, while their press & assists travel by other means as they traverse the home state on limited time away from their Senatorial job in DC.

But leave it to the RW rag & spin to make it a smear.

We need McCaskill's Dem seat for the 2018 majority in the Senate.
We need her Dem senority voice as well.

The WFBeacon is not a credible news source.

Sen. M. would not likely get their votes, even if she went door to door in their neighborhood.

is all implications to attack dems for and completely overlook the ways in which the GOP actually harm American's lives. I don't care at all if she rode in the RV or flew from stop a to stop b but it also could have just been an advance team.... but omg... they have the flight data... so it must be a scandal. Such BS.

Of course, it does take a shot at a sitting Democratic Senator so I guess it's fair game for some.
