1. Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen likely to cooperate as his attorneys leave case, sources say
Wed Jun 13, 2018, 10:35 AM
Jun 2018
As attorneys for Michael Cohen rush to meet Judge Kimba Wood’s Friday deadline to complete a privilege review of over 3.7 million documents seized in the April 9 raids of Cohen’s New York properties and law office, a source representing this matter has disclosed to ABC News that the law firm handling the case for Cohen is not expected to represent him going forward.

To date, Cohen has been represented by Stephen Ryan and Todd Harrison of the Washington and New York firm, McDermott, Will & Emery LLP.

No replacement counsel has been identified as of this time.

Cohen, now with no legal representation, is likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors in New York, sources said. This development, which is believed to be imminent, will likely hit the White House, family members, staffers and counsels hard.

The only way it will be "game over" for Trump is if Congress moves to impeach. Yeah, right. Isn't it obvious by now that they loves themselves some Donnie, and he literally could take out a gun and murder someone on Park Avenue, and the most they would do would be to say they're "deeply troubled?"

* Russian mafia (and other mafias)
* RNC and its finances
* Manafort and other Trump hires esp those involved with Russia/Ukraine
* numerous oligarchs

office coordinates on this with the Southern District (federal) prosecutors. Cohen has to make a deal with the federal prosecutors (and they will coordinate with Mr. Mueller). That's where Cohen can make a deal, and NYS would go along with it. But he cannot hope to deal separately with the state for a deal at this point. It's way beyond that.

The lawyers he had retained found that there was extremely scant material that qualifies as "attorney-client." Cohen's relationship with them has soured, which tends to happen when one lies like hell to their legal team. So Friday will be a bad day in court for him. Thus, those paying for his defense are left scrambling .....it will be difficult to find good representation, and even if they can, the only "good" option for him is to flip. And, in the position Cohen finds himself, that isn't very pleasant!

Look for Trump and Hannity to turn on Cohen next week.

47. He's totally fucked.
Wed Jun 13, 2018, 08:37 PM
Jun 2018

He's caught in a triangle. One side is in itself three parts: Mueller, SDNY, and NYSAG. Now, as you know, Trump can't pardon him for state charges. The NYSAG's office can't duplicate charges that federal prosecutors charge -- even if Trump pardons him for those. So they have coordinated with SDNY and Mr. Mueller, and divided the upcoming charges. Even if he is "only" convicted on the state charges, he will be incarcerated in state prison for decades. And that's not a safe place for him.

The second side is the Russian mafia. These gentlemen tend to resent anyone who puts them at risk. This includes many who inhabit NYS. And they have associates within the state and federal prisons. Thus, no matter if he is in prison, or out, he knows his safety is at risk.

The third side is the domestic mob, particularly those in real estate and construction. He was connected to them for longer than he was the Russians. He met them through Trump, not only from real estate and construction, but from Trump's having promoted boxing in Atlantic City with Don King in past decades. These fellows frown upon those who turn on them to save their own skin. And they, too, have associates within the state and federal prison systems.

He is totally fucked.

In order to review all of the documents seized for privilege issues, I heard that Cohen's law firm had 10 to 20 attorneys working full time just on this one project. At New York rates, this would add up to $50,000 to $100,000 per day. I suspect that Cohen is running out of funds necessary to review all of the documents seized by the FBI and so is having to get new attorneys
