Quote that hits the nail on the head like few others

Found on facebook:

"There's nothing patriotic about take the profits made from sending jobs to China, and hiding them in Switzerland to avoid paying taxes in America, hence freeloading off the very people whose jobs you took."

I was trying to be helpful to the OP so that subsequent readers of the post might avoid confusion.

Sorry to have troubled you.

For instance:

"His plan was take the money and run" vs. "His plan was to take the money and run."

And in this context the verb was followed in the sentence by "sending", "hiding", "paying", and "freeloading," so "taking" would be the best choice and make an otherwise great quote perfect.

I was not trying to find fault, I was trying to remove the stone in the road for future travelers.

I'll stay silent next time.

Just PM the poster and leave it up to them to edit the post if they want. A lot of people take offense to their grammar/spelling being criticized in public.

Had the quote originated with the poster I'd have taken that route.

Thank you for your civility.

which would then make the sentence more clear for everyone else who might read it.

Sorry to have offended your delicate sensibilities.

That this scumbag has 100 million in an IRA for a "business" career like this.

It's nothing more than three-card monte with U.S. citizens as the losers. Where are our IRAs? Mine and everyone else's are a fraction of what they once were.

That such a swindler should even aspire to the highest office in the land is a disgrace. The only satisfaction is that he really is such a dumb a@#$hole that he trips himself up on a routine basis.

....on the off-shoring and Swiss bank accounts before he had to leave to tend to his wife. He and the OP are right, this is not at all very patriotic, as a matter of fact it is devastating our nation.

Assholes who do this to our country don't give a rats ass about us and yet this nation still stands by them with services like our infrastructure, our military our fire and police departments and etc.

Adlai Stevenson: "I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Republican friends... that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them."

Funny how nothing changes.

Otherwise it sounds like a typical Wall St investor. Just pay the taxes and it's all sunshine & lollipops.
