The US Postal Service (while we still have it)

I just ordered some stuff online and had a choice about who I want to deliver it, and I chose the USPS.

If any of you are ordering anything, I wonder if it helps the post office if we step up and have them send our orders...

All those checks sent to pay bills? How are they going to get to all those banks and utilities and credit card companies without the USPS? And how are all those corporations going to get bills to their customers? The Republicans need to think about the effect shutting down the USPS will have on business.

Switched from UPS years ago, primarily due to Sat. delivery. Even though that may disappear, will still choose USPS first.

They are reliable and customer friendly in my experience. Love that they employ vets. Love that when my neighbor informed my carrier that my back was so bad, I couldn't walk down the hill to collect the mail and that she would be out of town and couldn't do it for me - he brought it up to my door.

People complaining about USPS do not know whereof they speak IMO.

The best thing we can do is clean house in the House.

How in the hell can a Political party that is against the vast majority of the population win elections?

Is America too corrupt or too stupid?

My hope that neither is true is waning....

The Republicans own them. The Republicans program them. The Republicans tally the votes. The Republicans work real hard to get the right people in the proper places to make the votes look legitimate.

I had forgotten to put stamps on all my bills and he brought them to me so I would put the stamps on them.

If they try to actually do away with the post office there will be hell to pay. Cutting it down to delivering once or twice a week is something else.

I think it will continue to exist but not in the form that we have known it.

Congress is in no way required to establish post offices nor are they required to make them a public entity.

I can't see private delivery services going house to house - for letters and cards, and even advertisements - they're not all junk mail...

We're already getting fewer ads in the newspaper because advertising has become more expensive, and fewer people are buying newspapers because of the cost of the paper - whether they have a computer or not.

We must have a post office. There are those who can't for some reason or another can't have a checking account or pay online who have to mail money orders.
