The Democrats are falling into trump's trap...

Now the focus is going to be on where the Democrats are willing to compromise with their legislation in order to rejoin the families. trump's gambit will have worked, and he will keep on taking hostages.

I think this hostage is going too far.

Taking children from their parents' arms (some are even babies) will not be a negotiating point.

Beto O'Roarke is using rhetoric that this isn't just trump's fault. It is on all of us. Kirstjen Nielsen is now denying there is a separation policy. The lie is being repeated 20 times more than the truth. "Moderate" Susan Collins puts it in the context of a negotiated position, and "she's not there yet."

Feinstein's bill has 48 Senator cosponsors!!

This is being played on trump's turf and he's gaining traction. The whole GOP is doubling down.

7. Question:

I just heard on TV that in some cases parents separated from their children are deported to their country of origin without their children who are kept here.

What happens in this case? I know they try to find relatives in the country to send them to, but what about the ones who don't have anyplace to go?

Do they become citizens automatically? Adopted? Kept in the center and forced to work on the wall till they're 18 then deported as an adult?

Is the result of this that 45 is filling the country with random numbers of abandoned immigrant children that the taxpayers are taking care of? I would think that would be exactly the thing they don't want.

If it comes down to his wall vs. the kids, DACA, etc., give it to him and clearly label it trump's folly or worse.

Personally, I don't think it's worth fighting while kids are tortured. The wall will likely never be built, except in white wing enclaves. If it is, we can tear it down later.
