There are times when some of the most blatant forms go back under the rock, where it becomes all moldy but still thrives - and still leaks out.

Then someone comes along that kicks the rock over and spreads the mold everywhere.

We have to follow it back to its rock and destroy it there.

The main Soviet censorship body, Glavlit, was employed not only to eliminate any undesirable printed materials, but also "to ensure that the correct ideological spin was put on every published item". In the Stalin Era, deviation from the dictates of official propaganda was punished by execution and labor camps. In the post-Stalin era, these punitive measures were replaced by punitive psychiatry, prison, denial of work, and loss of citizenship. "Today a man only talks freely to his wife – at night, with the blankets pulled over his head", said writer Isaac Babel privately to a trusted friend.[1]

Schiff: White House using migrant kids’ grief and tears to build border wall

Schiff was referring to a "zero tolerance" border policy imposed by the Trump administration earlier this year that separates immigrant children from their parents while the parents are prosecuted.

Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, also said that the GOP has "become the party of lies" by not calling out President Trump's falsehoods.

"The GOP in Congress has become craven enough that they will do anything to maintain the majority, even be complicit with a president who ignores and tears down the rule of law," Schiff said.
They cannot maintain their integrity as a party if they follow this president," he added.

It's an effort to extort a bill to their liking in the Congress. It's, I think, deeply unethical," he added.
Sounds like more than your degrading tuna sandwich comment.
He has been consistantly quite vocal on this & most every atrocity presented by the fake Admin.

Perhaps choose one of the many other Senators or Reps who are dead silent, in your rightful need to name names.
Rep Schiff has been consistant in his vocal criticisims of trump.

I think you are 100% correct.
And I don't even actually think it SHOULD be necessary to have to emote more emotion in a perfect world. But we are fighting an enemy that can turn it on and off like a lightbulb. They have perfected the art of fake outrage. And in this day of infotainment and reality shows, Trump and his minions understand the power of drama and passion, while a lot of Dems still are living in the '90's. Yes, Obama was a great orator. My gawd the comparison of answers and deduced reasoning given to the press on a particular decision by 44 vs. 45 is jaw dropping. Yes, calm logical reasoning is still something to be admired, but America has been pulled kicking and screaming, into this new shock n awe reality TV culture war, and if we don't at least match their phony outrage with our own, even if we (through our reps) have to 'act' against our own generally reserved personalities, in order to use the meta communication of our time, then it must be done. Its about communication.

She was hanged for her troubles.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irma_Grese

Grese and two other concentration camp workers, Johanna Bormann and Elisabeth Volkenrath, were convicted along with eight men for crimes committed at Auschwitz and Belsen and sentenced to death. As the verdicts were read, Grese was the only prisoner to remain defiant.[16] Her subsequent appeal was rejected.

The night before her execution, Grese sang Nazi songs until the early hours of the morning with Johanna Bormann.[17] On Thursday, 13 December 1945, in Hamelin Jail, Grese was led to the gallows. The women were executed singly by long-drop hanging and then the men in pairs.[18] Regimental Sgt. Maj. O'Neill assisted the British executioner, Albert Pierrepoint

In fact, taking the high road is risky luxury, now that politics have given way to an all-out culture war. You take whatever road is available, high or low, if the desired goal is to drive the fascists out of power, before they further destroy the remnants of our democracy.

America has divided against itself before, and it's doing it once again. There's no quick finish to it, and no idea as to how hot it might get.
