by Joseph A. Wulfsohn | 1:32 am, June 19th, 2018
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) had some harsh criticisms for the FBI and DOJ for their handling of the Clinton email investigation.
Fox News anchor Shannon Bream pointed out that Graham seemed to be having fun during the Senate Judiciary Committees hearing of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
What did we learn today? We learned today that the head investigator of the Clinton email investigation hated Trumps guts, told his friend, Ms. Page, whos an attorney for the Department of Justice, on August the 8th Dont worry, hell never be president, Well stop that.' Graham began listing. They changed the memo that Comey read to the country on July the 5th. They took the word grossly negligent out and put extremely careless. I always wondered why. Grossly negligent is a legal term that would make you subject to ten years in prison for grossly negligently handling classified information The reason they changed that word is that they would have to indict Clinton if they did not change the term.
Graham told Bream that somebodys lying between former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and FBI agent Peter Strzok and Page regarding a meeting they allegedly had during the election. If the #2 guy in the FBI had a meeting with Page and Strzok in his office to find out how to create an insurance policy against Trump being elected, that is abuse of the highest level of the government, Graham continued. That is Watergate stuff. Thats what the FBI used to do years ago and I want to get to the bottom of it. However, this was the senators biggest takeaway.
I learned today is that what the FBI and Department of Justice did in the Clinton email investigation is dangerous to democracy, Graham stated. She got away with it and they were out to get Trump and it could be somebody new next time, so we need to fix this.
