Manafort in 'solitary confinement' to avoid attack by someone intent on 'street cred,' Trump ex-lawy

Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is being held in "solitary confinement" after his bail was revoked, in an "outrageous violation" of his civil liberties, former Trump lawyer John Dowd told Fox News on Tuesday.

"Paul is in solitary confinement for his own safety from the general prison population," Dowd said. "The warden is concerned that someone would violently attack Paul just for street cred.

"They make all prisoners return to their cells whenever Paul needs to leave his cell," Dowd, who said he is a friend of Manafort's attorney, told Fox News.

1. Dear lord, that is not solitary confinement.

I'm sure Manafort doesn't actually want to mix with the other inmates anyway.

Yeah, they're setting the situation up for him to get whacked.

I'd say 40% he's not going to leave the jail.

8. How about one of the kleptocrats Manafort worked for?

Stone killers there too, and possibly with something to lose if Manafort talks.

Putin does his public murders of people he feels betrayed him or Russia. Would Manafort quality? We don't know nearly enough, of course, but given Putin's goals of throwing the U.S. into chaos, it might be that Manafort testifying against Trump would serve him just fine.

I do find it odd that it's Trump's former lawyer making the statement about Manafort's disposition.

If it were a Prison official, that would be different.

13. Hmmm. I don't think prison officials would

discuss this with the press, unless a leak like this made them feel a need for a public statement. It's the prison and judicial system's business, and very much Manafort's, after all. Not ours.

They have less to worry about if fewer people see him. No one will notice when he isn't around for days. Then all of a sudden, died of some natural stress or hangs himself.

to ever make it to market, but come on. You have the management of a federal jail planning a political assassination with Russia.

Now that you mention it, it does sound crazy. Then I started to actually contemplate it. I don't know a lot of people in the corrections field. The few I that I read about in the papers on online are not the best and brightest.

I'm not sure it would be all that tough to find a bunch of Trump supporters in the corrections industry who would help him out on the problem of Manafort. Trump is pretty popular in that segment of men who are all about exerting control over others by being police and guards and such. His part is the party of private prisons and all the supporting industry for them.

Nope, now that I consider it, it's not all that outlandish a thought at all!

Now, potential assassins among Manafort's fellow criminals would be a different matter.

Wonder how many deaths could be laid at Manafort's door.

What street cred do they want or need? Sounds like cover to keep Russia's reach away from him.
