(22,171 posts)resistance and anger out there among my friends and family (not all of them to be sure) about idiot rump and the stupid stuff he does. A lot more than before...This is what I remember most when I see these stupid rump signs (I can't even remember the last rump sign I've seen, thank goodness!).

(14,565 posts)They wouldn't even recognize any of the complaints. If you don't have right wing friends or relatives right now I think that's a difficult concept to grasp. Their big picture embrace of Donald Trump more than overwhelms any of the day to day stuff, which doesn't exist in their mind.
For example, I'll spend an hour or two here or watching CNN/MSNBC. All the outrage is proper. But then I'll get a phone call from an old friend in Las Vegas and eventually he'll be praising Trump. If I mention the daily topic he'll cut it off before the end of the sentence, in pure dismissive fashion.
Likewise when I visit my Republican aunt. I was there last night and she's still talking about the summit and how wonderful it was. I'm not confident she knows anything about the border issues. If it's anything negative regarding Trump they reject it as fake news desperation, or merely tune it out.
