Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so

Someone needs to get this woman a dictionary, so she can look up the definiton for hypocrite. Someone also need to present her with a few video clips of how she treats the White House Press Corp. Maybe this is a list a waiter made up on one pass through his section, but seeing the names of alcohol brands and ABC made me think it was a prep list of what to restock for the night. I would think if it were drink orders it would have a drink name like whiskey sour, long Island tea, mojito... not just brand names of alcohol. Does that make sense to you?

What news was it supposed to get on and who is claiming it was "such a scene"? Lexington is a small town tucked away in the mountains of SW VA. The restaurant is about 2-3 blocks from the main street. It's not like the DHS secretary being protested at the Washington, DC Mexican restaurant. The Red Hen is tiny, and the whole thing supposedly went down quietly and within minutes. There were supposedly seven in her party. One ordered Pellegrino, which was separated from the ABC (alcohol/liquor) section. I imagine the waiter could remember the drinks themselves but jotted down the brands, with "tequila" out there on its own since someone in the party wasn't particular about brand.

that delightful little mountain town. Not to mention VMI and Washington and Lee. My family and I were there last Saturday and stumbled upon the Red Hen because it's across from the visitor's center. I wanted to have dinner there, but was overruled... grr. I don't know the politics of the town, but denying service to a high-level Trumpkin seems like a pretty bold move. Saw a couple of Trump/Pence signs, a TON of Teabagger license plates, and a couple of oppressed white male biker dudes snarking about "toxic masculinity."
