Reality jolt: Republican state chairwoman dismayed at Republicans for acting like Republicans

The outgoing chairwoman of the Minnesota Republican Party is an ethnic Korean who was adopted as a child as raised by her foster parents in Minnesota. She has been disheartened at her fellow Minnesota Republicans for calling her "Dragon Lady," "Chink," and other racial slurs referring to her Asian ethnicity:

My comment was "Being disappointed that Republicans are acting like Republicans is like being disappointed in fish for swimming."

This is not some kind of unfortunate metamorphosis they are all undergoing. Trump didn't suddenly transform them from polite family values people into the ugly cretins they have become. All the coming of Trump did is remove their inhibitions and their incentive to hide their true nature behind a façade of civility--something that was never truly there to begin with. They just put it on like a Hallowwen costume when it was time to go Trick-or-Treating, er, I mean, fundraising.

All they have to do is walk into a supermarket or a medical clinic armed to the teeth, and say "feed me/treat me."

It might even work in a supermarket, but when the doc gives them an anesthetic and they wake up in a jail cell minus their guns and their belts, maybe a few of them might get the idea they have misjudged the situation.
