Well, you see, here's the distinction...
One side is being rude and uncivil to those in power and can take it... government, elites, Trump, etc.
One side is being rude and uncivil to those without power and with less recourse... Refugees, immigrants, minority ethnic and religious groups, etc.
One side's rudeness is expected and even acceptable in a democracy.
The other side's rudeness supports the status quo and is the first steps in more oppression.
If you're going to be rude and uncivil, then you should at least be a force for change.

(1,474 posts)Rude and uncivil is needed against fascists who commit crimes against humanity. It is not rude and uncivil to battle evil. It is stupid and complicit to extend civility to Nazis or trump's gop fascist mafia.
