Most of the 5-8 minutes was BECK talking about how "the media" was supposedly non-stop grandstanding on the children detentions, but also with BECK turning "the media" into Brian STELTER himself, personally attacking STELTER. I distinctly remember a couple or three years ago when STELTER devoted two whole weeks of segments to BECK, being FAIR to him, because I posted here accusing him of kow-towing to BECK. So here is BECK personally attacking somebody who was fair to him.
BECK tried using the Jon STEWART gambit when STEWART guested on CNN's Crossfire and lambasted them about "dividing America" and Crossfire was cancelled, and accused STELTER of being the ONE personally responsible for dividing the country "for ratings."
STELTER gave him free rein and there didn't seem to be the big hissy fit coming, but then come it did. STELTER had given him plenty of time for himself, but when he asked about the Daily Beast article about BECK's empire "imploding," BECK went off in his deceptively "quiet" way (with volcano inside), saying something like o-k-this-is-over. He didn't get up right away, paused, then said STELTER was "playing games" and leaned over to get out of the chair and got off the screen.
The good news in the Daily Beast article is that BECK is leaving Texas, selling his mansion, to downsize and live in L.A. Texas was a magnet for wingnut yak show hosts because of the no state income tax, the Ted NUGENT gun culture, and the voter suppression and slashing of social service programs. Apparently BECK can't afford living there anymore!1

.... The right-wing cable and digital media companyfounded by Beck shortly before he exited Fox News in 2011fired another round of staffers this week, shrinking a workforce that has already been reduced to less than 50 employees, according to two sources who spoke with The Daily Beast on the condition of anonymity. The two sources also confirmed that more than a dozen employees had been laid off over the past several days. ....
A potential lifeboat in the form of a proposed sale to the billionaire owners of conservative commentator Ben Shapiros website The Daily Wire now appears unlikely. A source familiar with the negotiations told The Daily Beast that talks between the two parties broke down and the sale is now effectively dead.
TheBlaze once generated a reported $90 million in revenue annually, but has been in a slow motion implosion over the past several years. Top-level managerial shakeups, seemingly ceaseless layoffs, and office closures have depleted morale, tanked the sites web traffic, and caused cable distributors to jump ship. ....
Beck is also purging himself of many of his more expensive possessions, leading some employees to suspect that the conservative talk show host may be looking to close up shop at TheBlazes headquarters in Dallas and relocate to Los Angeles, where the company still maintains a smaller office. ....
