Remember when "The Passion of the Christ" came out and the promo stuff made a big deal about the scene where they nail him up, Mel Gibson (who directed it) used his own hands using the hammer/nail on the close-up nailing shots. i.e. "It's symbolic, see, because Jesus died b/c of our sins. We all killed him, just the same as if we nailed him to the cross ourselves"

So RW fundies would love the art -- Trump, Jesus, accurate portrayal of their dumbassed theology... what's not to love?

He's prolific as hell, and his images have all been powerful and amazing, even including things like puzzles and anagrams to provide yet another layer of commentary.

I think in the annals of history, he may end up being better known as a political illustrator than an actor. And I think he would be just fine with that.
