David Lynch clarifies his Trump "could go down as one of the greatest presidents" remarks

Dear Mr. President,

This is David Lynch writing. I saw that you re-tweeted the Breitbart article with the heading – Director David Lynch: Trump ‘Could Go Down as One of the Greatest Presidents in History.’ I wish you and I could sit down and have a talk. This quote which has traveled around was taken a bit out of context and would need some explaining.

Unfortunately, if you continue as you have been, you will not have a chance to go down in history as a great president. This would be very sad it seems for you – and for the country. You are causing suffering and division.

It’s not too late to turn the ship around. Point our ship toward a bright future for all. You can unite the country. Your soul will sing. Under great loving leadership, no one loses – everybody wins. It’s something I hope you think about and take to heart. All you need to do is treat all the people as you would like to be treated.

Sincerely,

David Lynch

and I don't think Spanky would want to do it anyhow. His idea of what it means to be a great president is certainly nothing like anybody else's. Most of us think a great president is one who tries to unite the people under a common desire for the good of everyone, who treats everyone with respect, who forms and supports strong international, mutually-beneficial alliances, and who acknowledges and respects the law and the Constitution. Trump's idea of a great president is one who rules over everybody and who is able to use the power of his office for his own benefit without being impeded or questioned.

Trump has no chance of even climbing to a level of mediocrity. He's terrible and he'll keep on being terrible until he's out of office - the sooner, the better.

He sees life as a game in which there are only winners and losers and if you aren't loyal to him, he is going to make sure you are a "loser". He is an evil, corrupt, venal man who needs to be removed from office as soon as possible. This is a person who will never change for the better, he will only dig in deeper until he has destroyed everything in his orbit.
