what I hope and believe is still recognized as "character".
A person with character may tire, may get discouaged, may cry out in anger at injustices that they are temporarily unable to set right. But, a person of character does not quit the good fight. Striving to defeat evil and promote the common good is what such people MUST do in order. feel comfortable in their own skin; in order to justify having lived.
I hope that some of those who know me consider me a person of character; a "stand up guy". I know that this board is "populated" by many people to whom living a life of character is just "who they are". And, so, I hope it will not be thought presumptuous or inappropriate for me to say: WE can change this political disaster; WE can right the ship of state; WE can save democracy from the craven incompetents now seeking to destroy it for personal power and wealth.
Take a breather, but DON'T QUIT.
Cuss and scream and throw things at the TV, but DON'T QUIT.
Be temporarily discouraged, but DON'T QUIT.
Fight for what you know is right. Fight when you are exhausted, outspent and outnumbered. Fight when you know winning will require a miracle.
It's what we do.
