I know that we are all looking at the big picture for our Country right now, but we still need the little pleasures of life and one of them is an unspoiled birthday.
Maybe you could distract yourself by shopping for a trump pinata and beat it to death. Plus candy inside!
On a more serious note, perhaps just let yourself grieve. And then take it one day at a time until we all can get more focused after the shock.
As for me, I'm going to go outside and do a photoshoot of all my diseased plants. Time surrounded by Mother Nature is very soothing even though it's full of bad bugs and fungus. Much like our current political system.
and you are in good company here... the majority of people still are decent and we can't give up!
