I had a brief discussion with a Steiniac this afternoon.

She said that things are so desperate that she's telling everyone she meets not to vote.

Yes, you read that correctly. No, she is not a Soviet mole. Yes, I tried to dissuade her of the notion. No, it didn't work.

Tell me again why I should reach out to her?

4. To hear her describe it, she's never HAD any rights.

The evil gubmint has kept her enslaved her entire life. No legislation has ever been good enough, so no "establishment" political process will ever help her.

2. Ask her how she thinks things will be better if nobody on the left votes.

Because the GOPers will vote, regardless. Is she one of those nutballs who thinks The Revolution won't occur unless everything goes completely to shit (and we're getting too close for comfort already)? If that's what she thinks she's just as hopeless as the average Trumper and there's no point in giving her the time of day.

3. Apparently, she's gone from "it doesn't matter" to "it's hopeless, so why bother?"

Mind you, this is a super intelligent woman. There's little about which we disagree. The difference, which I've explained here dozens of times, is about street cred. It's more important for her to maintain standing in a clique than doing the right thing. A clique, BTW, which does include political incompetents and anarchists.

8. True! Every vote NOT for Hillary meant that Trump needed one LESS vote to surpass her.

True! Every vote NOT for Hillary meant that Trump needed one LESS vote to surpass her. It was to Trump's advantage whenever someone decided to "not vote" or to vote for Stein, or to vote for Johnson, or to write-in Bernie's name or to write in Mickey Mouse.

We have a defacto TWO PARTY system. In a national election, the winner will belong to one of TWO PARTIES. Either the Democrat or the Republican will win. No other party will win the presidency. Everything else is just a protest vote or a vanity vote.

In the meantime, the grown-ups will try to salvage the country, and we don't need interference from the likes of her.

I think it's imperative to call out stein's LIES in 2016.

Thanks, Goth
