.
Putin's cock sock does it again. . .
According to Axios Jonathan Swan, Trump ranted about the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) during talks with other world leaders at the G7 and even hinted that he could pull out of the alliance altogether.
NATO is as bad as NAFTA, the president said, according to a leaked transcript taken during the meeting. Its much too costly for the U.S.
According to Swan, Trumps remarks reinforced some of the Europeans worst fears that hell take a purely transactional approach during next months NATO summit, which is scheduled to take place on July 11 in Brussels.

Republicans are lock step with this fascist, as long as they get to keep their jobs. USA is becoming Sadam's Iraq.

(32,052 posts)He talks about NAFTA and NATO being too costly for the American people ....
Yet his tax scam ..... his crazy tariffs .... gutting health care for millions .... compounded by the millions we pay for him to play golf .... and then there's grifters like Scott Pruitt ..... I guess none of that "cost" is ever too much.

(8,200 posts)Got to hand it to the Republicans. They did a masterful job of brainwashing a large portion of the population that their vote didn't mean beans, while jiving up their base that Democrats are evil, immoral, un-Americans 24/7.

(32,739 posts)...Cheeto is taking marching orders from Putin. It's collusion, conspiracy and treason all rolled into one.
Hopefully there are recordings of those G7 meetings, because Mueller will need them. What I don't get is this: why is Trump making it so easy for us to see what he's trying to do? Doesn't he realize there are laws against this?

(7,142 posts)it is going to take Republicans to get rid of Trump, impeach him. Mueller is going to have to come forth with earth shattering, irrefutable evidence, that Trump is a Russian agent. Democrats have always been behind the 8 ball because the M$M is reich wing. The M$M carries more weight, influence than anyone gives them credit for.
A president under investigation by the FBI for colluding with Russia should be the headlines in the media as the reason for not allowing him to select a SC justice.
No headlines for Trump preparing to cut Medicare, Medicaid, and SS because he has exploded our debt giving a 1.5 trillion dollar tax break to himself and his rich pals.
The M$M controls the narrative, and I'm just talking about the M$M, the reich wing echo chamber that puts out blatant lies every single day has brainwashed 1/3 of our country.
A glimmer of hope lies in the upcoming election, but without going to paper ballots even a blue wave can be throttled. Not being a Debbie Downer here, we need our wave to be huge enough that it will overcome electronic machine rigging.
It's been said before, this isn't Democrats beating Republicans, it's more than that, it's about good conquering evil.
Vote, and get your friends to vote and don't ever give up. I believe that Robert Mueller, a Vietnam combat hero, will prevail over Cadet Bone Spurs. I believe that Mueller has earth shattering evidence to bring Trump down. If enough Republicans and the M$M get behind Mueller we will prevail.

(52,316 posts)the cost of nato is that each member pledges to spend a certain portion of their gdp on their own military, so that the alliance has adequate overall defense.
members don't pay each other or pay a central fund (i don't know, there's probably a comparatively small administrative fund, but that's not the huge $$ donnie's talking about).
so if a nation isn't contributing their share, that just means that their own military is "too small". america's military is *way* in excess of what nato requires and we do it for our own multiple agendas and would continue to do so regardless of nato or any nato requirements.
seriously, if european states built up their military a bit more, would america really cut back our own military to compensate? hell no. with traditional american military budget logic, we'd spend even more in order to keep up.

(37,428 posts)The thing is, Trump's hopelessly mired in Putin's blackmail, but I believe he actually enjoys having something to rant about, and being told how to do it. This is probably how he relieves the sensation of helplessness.
