the weekly gunfire killings in our cities take most of the lives-----and get none of the national publicity.

... innocent bystanders in Atlanta, or a domestic dispute resulting in a shooting in Little Rock, simply doesn't have the pizzazz the national infotainment organizations are looking for. Viewers are king, and they aren't going to tune in to stories like that. Certainly not like they will for scores dead at a concert or nightclub, or dozens killed at a school.

It sucks. And says a lot about what we have become.
