BREAKING: NYPD Confirms They Are Mobilizing Officers to Major Newsrooms in NYC

Fox News’s Shepard Smith reported that the NYPD is mobilizing personnel to the headquarters of all the major news outlets in New York City out of “an abundance of caution” following the fatal mass shooting at the Capital Gazette newsroom in Maryland.

“We have just been informed by the New York City Police Department that NYPD is now moving personnel out of an abundance of caution to the headquarters of all the major news media outlets in our city,” Smith reported. “I can’t begin to even count how many there are. Every major network, of course, is located here. ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC. We have eight local television stations which do local news, and a multitude of others. The New York Police Department now mobilizing personnel out of quote an abundance of caution to the headquarters of all major news out lets in America’s largest city.”

Police in Maryland report the suspect is in custody.
