Mr. Trump was apparently referring to Justice Kennedys son, Justin. The younger Mr. Kennedy spent more than a decade at Deutsche Bank, eventually rising to become the banks global head of real estate capital markets, and he worked closely with Mr. Trump when he was a real estate developer, according to two people with knowledge of his role.
During Mr. Kennedys tenure, Deutsche Bank became Mr. Trumps most important lender, dispensing well over $1 billion in loans to him for the renovation and construction of skyscrapers in New York and Chicago at a time other mainstream banks were wary of doing business with him because of his troubled business history.

(17,863 posts)Oprah demagogued the crap out of this stuff while leading a campaign that would get microphones in her face (kind of like our current resident in the White House but with facts that are actually fire behind the smoke).
I picked Oprah as someone with a powerful voice tied to more liberal causes. You could insert another name if you wish. It scares the crap out of me that I am thinking this way, but appealing to individual's intellect hasn't seemed to work.

(15,751 posts)gets some of the attention it needs. Hope for Oprah, or something. As even on DU, great attention is paid as Bernie, trump et al, weigh inm endlessly on . . . aspects of 'the Red Hen'.

(17,863 posts)has an important position as a representative of our government. I don't want him acting like Trump, and, in the long run, Democrats will not stand for such a demagogue, and he would lose his effectiveness and "brand". We kind of need an outsider who may never actually seek political office, but who gets his/her face in front of the microphones and moves on from one accusation to the next without the burden of actually having solid proof. It sure as hell worked for the GOP.

Wow.. somebody really knew how to make a graphic for Kennedy.
Thanks Soph

(7,142 posts)because they are "all" complicit. It is the main reason that Democrats have been behind the 8 ball for decades. Getting rid of the Fairness Doctrine was a big enabler.
Just look at Canada's ban on Fox News, can you imagine that happening here?

(20,998 posts)...seemingly to protect tRump*, when in all actuality, they are fighting to protect themselves. I FIRMLY BELIEVE that if all the cards were laid on the table and the absolute truth came out, we would find that THE GOP IS AWASH in dirty Russian money. I believe the GOP has sold its soul for power and privilege. I believe that some of the major donors of the GOP are also in on the "fraternization" with the enemy... case in point: Robert Mercer, the American billionaire money bagman for Cambridge Analytica...

I also believe that full-on TREASON is not out of the realm of possibility. I believe that certain members of the GOP were aware of the Russian influences on our election and WILLINGLY LOOKED THE OTHER WAY. That's right, looking at you Comrades McConnell and Ryan.

(7,725 posts)The scrambling around about court packing will be our undoing. We wait for the election of a supreme court justice during an election year. Period, end of story. To discuss anything else gets their person to hearings and that just can't be.
Nice warm weekend to march with everyone who cares about it. We can do this thing.
