A voice sounding very much like that of President Donald Trump is heard in a phone call a comedian claims to have made to the commander-in-chief while he was aboard Air Force One.The alleged communication raises questions about the soundness in regard to the security clearances process, and how a prankster could get through to Air Force One and have a direct audience with the president.

John Melendez, a comic best known for his stints on The Howard Stern Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, says he was able to reach the president directly over the course of a few hours claiming he was New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez.

In the call, the voice purported to be the president is heard saying, 'Hi Bob. How are you, congratulations on everything, we're proud of you. Congratulations, you're doing a great job.' The voice Melendez claims was the president's referenced Menendez's past indictment on corruption charges, which resulted in a hung jury last year, before a federal judge cleared him earlier this year at the request of prosecutors.

1. And that exchange makes me wonder:

1) If true, was Trump aware of the fact that Bob Menendez is a Democrat and opposes Trump's policies and proposals? I could understand "We're proud of you * * * You're doing a great job," if it were a Republican.

2) If Trump was well aware of Menendez's affiliation and meant what he said, what kind of past associations are there between him and the Senator?

Nothing is an accident, unless you go with the byline that Trump is insane and can't be held accountable for anything he says or does.
