Tweet of Abigail Hauslohner of the Wash Post speaks to me

You can kill journalists; jail & threaten them; urge a heavily armed population 2 view them as enemies of the ppl. It will only make journalists work harder. Bc those who are threatened by the pen are those who have something to hide. & we have a responsibility to the public.

while she, and her colleagues may be defiant, do all the other journalists feel that same way? If 1 journalist in 100 decides that it's time for a new career to protect their family, it's a loss for all of us.

How many journalists have given up their careers in Russia after Putin started killing those critical of him? Yes, some have defiantly kept going, but how many have also quietly stopped?

Would SCOTUS rule in favor of unions that negotiate a 2 tier pay scale?

A negotiated, higher rate for members and whatever management thinks for the rest?

Maybe when a worker has a dispute with management, non-members should pay an hourly charge for a union rep or hire their own lawyers?

Some people need to be reminded of the first amendment to the United States Constitution over and over again.
