that the room broke into applause when Trump was done making his sober remarks about the newspaper shooting?
I swear there is something about that guy's raging narcissism that, on a subconscious level, begs for applause, and in response people feel the need to be obsequious to him. Does anyone think that the room would have responded that way to a similar statement from Obama? Nor should they have. It was inappropriate--yet it happened. Bizarre.
Or maybe his audience just thought--"Wow! The guy actually got through a delicate performance of his duties for once without fucking it up! Let's give him a round of applause!"

The AA woman behind him, LaSonya, did a head snap that was so obvious it was laughable, as if she were thinking "Hey, Asshole, you're the one who advocated this type of violence."
