I was visiting my 90 year old dad today; he's in an assisted living facility. He had been talking to some people about going to the march this weekend (he's not so steady on his feet) and was told he could do more good by going house-to-house and perhaps getting people registered.

Now he is bound and determined to do just that, even if it's only five homes. He is mad as hell and wants to do something!

And he's made some enemies in the old folks' home by dumping on dt and sticking to his guns.

1. On the day of the Women's March last year I walked into my dad's

room at the nursing home and his caregiver, orginally from jamaica, had made a flag out of a piece of notepaper and a straw that said "Dump Trump". She was marching around the room and my dad was saluting her.

He has the right idea actually. He will be able to accomplish a lot since knocking on doors is how the Dems are winning in the primaries. When people see an older citizen they are more likely to welcome him and listen to what he has to say out of respect.

My dad is in assisted living as well and although his memory ain't very good he rips trump every chance he gets. The cool thing is, most residents and staff agree with him.
