"You will not dictate..."

We need to frame the midterms as a referendum on dictatorship. Because that's what's at stake. Democrats want to restore our broken democracy and republicans want to complete its destruction.

We need to work dictatorship into the national debate.

Let's start with phrases like this.

For instance, regarding objections to a restaurant requesting that a propagandist for a fascist administration leave:

"You will not dictate to us how we object to the non-stop lies, insults, and disrespect coming from this administration!"

Non-stop lies!

My husband and I were just discussing this. The propagandists are killing us with the daily barrage of lies. It comes from every direction. Lies completely refuted are resurrected every six months.

It is exhausting.

I can’t pay any respect to anyone who would lie so much.

They toss out two lies every sentence and it takes 5 minutes each to analyze and explain and correct them.

That works when there's one or two lies in an entire speech, but not when there's one or two lies every sentence.

"You will not dictate to us how we object..." It's a good start, like the OP suggests.

And if the midterms get cancelled?

From Mark Bray's book.
