Collins got a promise from Comrade Drumpt.

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/07/get-played-jake-tapper-confronts-susan-collins-blindly-approving-judges-want-abolish-abortion/

snip:
According to Collins, President Donald Trump promised her that he would not make opposition to abortion rights a litmus test for his Supreme Court nominee — even though he had said as a candidate that women deserved to be punished for abortion.

If she votes to confirm a anti-abortion judge she should be given the nickname Coat hanger Collins.

She knows that anyone in her circle, or her donors circle, have the means and ability to fly off to Canada or Denmark or Sweden and pay cash to terminate theirs or their childrens unwanted or life/health threatening pregnancy. Like Melania...she just doesn't care, do you?

She does absolutely nothing but give the Retrumplican party some kind of bullshit moderate cover.

Even her vote against repealing the ACA was bullshit. She was as surprised as mcturtle was when McCain voted against it. She had to think; "holy fuck! My throwaway moderate cover vote ACTUALLY FUCKING MATTERED this time."

Trust me, her vote is never supposed to matter, except to convince dumbass Democrats that...no really... you can trust me.

Here's the bottom fucking line for at least the next 4 elections.

If there is an R behind a candidates name, they must be crushed!!!

Almost forgot my rote response to Collins..."ahem, dear Susan, go fuck yourself sideways with a First Edition hard cover copy of Atlas Shrugged you worthless piece of amphibian shit"

Jul 2018

Step 1: Pretend to be a "principled moderate" who's really torn about whether to go along with her party

Step 2: Claim to have received some assurance from a party leader that X policy or Y appointee won't be the horror show every one knows it/he/she will be

Step 3: Vote with her party based on said assurance

Step 4: Act shocked when said assurance turns out to be meaningless

Enough of this vile fraud. Get her out, and elect a Democrat in her place. No, white independents, you aren't superior because you "vote for the person". Enough.

I think she uses her rep as a "reasonable" Republican to cover her from flak and unfavorable comparisons to other more outspoken radical Republican Senators--and THEN she ends up voting for Trump's crap, saying she got "assurances," which she either didn't, or knew Trump was lying from the get-go.

Hasnt she learned her lesson??

The #1 request from Evangelicals is overturning Roe V Wade. So you can bet any scotus appointee will have that as the agenda, even if they lie during confirmation hearings. And you can bet they will lie, since a conservative scotus can really do so much more damage besides roe v wade, including protecting and giving Trump more power.

That way she can vote against her so called conscience while maintaining the facade of being a moderate. No one ever remembers when those so-called promises never get fulfilled. She's been running that con game for many years.

24. CNN - Collins: Won't support SCOTUS pick hostile to abortion rights
Sun Jul 1, 2018, 03:36 PM
Jul 2018
Washington (CNN)Republican Sen. Susan Collins, a key vote in the coming Supreme Court confirmation fight, said Sunday she would not support a nominee hostile to the landmark abortion ruling in Roe v. Wade.

"I would not support a nominee who demonstrated hostility to Roe v. Wade because that would mean to me that their judicial philosophy did not include a respect for established decisions, established law," Collins said on CNN's "State of the Union."

The Maine senator said when she met with President Donald Trump to discuss the vacancy created by the retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy, she encouraged Trump "to broaden his list beyond" his standing list of 25 potential choices.

Collins said she is not comfortable with everyone on Trump's list of conservative names and stressed her preferences in their meeting.
