There were more than a few lousy penalty kicks but those were tired legs.
Exciting finish but I wanted Denmark to win for big sis and her folks.

The Croatian keeper saved three of the five.
That said those were some awful penalty kicks from tired legs.

10. Me too. One of those saves was the Dane kicking it into

the goalkeeper's legs after he had committed to go left. If he had waited a split second, the Dane could have aimed left (goalkeeper right) and made the point.

The Croat had already rounded the keeper when he was taken down from behind.

The Refs have not all been consistent

13. In theory and the spirit of the game,

it should have been because it would have been a goal 100% with a shot on an empty goal.
But the rules were changed that it's not a red when the foul occured after an attempt to hit the ball. So according to the rules, it was a correct decision. But this was an instance were a red felt more right.
