This was two blocks from our house. I videoed it, but nothing I did compares to this:

(4,066 posts)Is that how you really want to remember your wedding day?
"Oh, we stood in front of a burning building. Someone's property being destroyed by arson made a great backdrop for pictures."

If this is true, everything about this is wrong.

(7,143 posts)This is an area comprised almost entirely of abandoned factories. It's being heavily developed, and the building would likely have been razed anyway. Most of the buildings are being repurposed, but this wasn't on the slate, AFAIK.
Still no excuse for arson, obviously, but it probably wasn't anyone's property, and most likely was a nuisance.
And they're from Troy, Ohio. So, yeah. It probably IS how they want to remember their wedding.

And WTF is HE wearing, anyway? Is he her husband or her kidnapper/tormenter/The Devil himself?

(27,811 posts)not to mention the waste of resources. I would bet Dayton has financial worries like every other town and it's not cheap to put out huge fires.
