Is that how you really want to remember your wedding day?

"Oh, we stood in front of a burning building. Someone's property being destroyed by arson made a great backdrop for pictures."

"Luckily her makeup stayed put?"

If this is true, everything about this is wrong.

This is an area comprised almost entirely of abandoned factories. It's being heavily developed, and the building would likely have been razed anyway. Most of the buildings are being repurposed, but this wasn't on the slate, AFAIK.

Still no excuse for arson, obviously, but it probably wasn't anyone's property, and most likely was a nuisance.

And they're from Troy, Ohio. So, yeah. It probably IS how they want to remember their wedding.

I agree -- absolutely terrible imagery / symbolism.

And WTF is HE wearing, anyway? Is he her husband or her kidnapper/tormenter/The Devil himself?

But imo it was not a good idea on their part or the photogs part for a lot of reasons. It looks creepy to me too.

this is probably the most creative wedding photo I’ve seen. Great talent even if wicked. I would call this photo cinematic.

not to mention the waste of resources. I would bet Dayton has financial worries like every other town and it's not cheap to put out huge fires.
