Watching United Shades on CNN. About Hawaii.

And how the white man took over and ruined a beautiful land and the indigenous people. Like they did with the Indians, here, in America. Kinda strange and sad to see what we did there and here. BTW, I am white. Interesting show.

with farms. My sister told me about those ponds. Glad they are reanimating their culture.

2. I read Michener's Hawaii decades ago. Excellent book with a lot of factual history.

everything changes,including the world population,which is constantly on the move.

Lots of island paradises are now heavily populated.

Local people do.

This is the most Democratic state in the country.

We have electeds who are descended from Asian grandparents and in the case of Mazie Hirono, Asian parents.

We don’t have anyone from another country in office.

I’m glad Kamau met with Kamu Enos. He’s a good man.

My point was not too many ethnic Hawaiians in charge,which was the point of the original post.

OHA, 100% Hawaiian-run, though complicated, should be considered too.

I actually didn’t read your note in that context, but in ours.

Anyway, go Sox. At least we can agree on that.

FWIW my daughter in law is a Kamehameha Schools grad---back in the 80s.
