From the son of one of the journalists killed in Annapolis

Thought from Wendi's son, Phoenix (shared with permission):

Camus cannot capture the sadness, but instead the numbness I feel. I am absolutely heartbroken. Mom, I'm not ready to say goodbye.

For friends asking what you can do -

Don't make this story another statistic, another common day where a sad man becomes famous through blood. I don't want your thoughts and prayers: I want YOUR ACTION! YOU must stand up and be heard! Every time someone casually undermines the media to score cheap points, every time someone jokes about killing journalists, every time you let a liar tell you they are the only truth and all the others are lying - YOU must stand up to them! YOU must tell them they are making America worse. YOU must call them out loudly and often. The cold blooded murder of journalists is as anti-American and anti-good as it is possible to be.

"Aujourd’hui, maman est morte. Ou peut-être hier, je ne sais pas. J’ai reçu un télégramme de l’asile : "Mère décédée...."

We're talking pap smears, mammograms, pelvic exams, and general health-and-wellness. AND various birth control means. For some parts of the country, Planned Parenthood is the ONLY place women can get health care of ANY sort. Only a tiny fraction of their work involves ending pregnancies. I think the last figure I saw was a big fat THREE percent.

with every purchase I make through Amazon Prime. I would have done it sooner but didn't think PP would be one of their eligible charities.

I just assumed the eligible charities would be churches and small foundations. I was surprised to find pages of the different PP branches around the country.

My daughter and I use the prime services a lot. What a great program Amazon has set up!

My poor translation of the quote

"Aujourd’hui, maman est morte. Ou peut-être hier, je ne sais pas. J’ai reçu un télégramme de l’asile : "Mère décédée...."

Today my mother is dead. Or perhaps yesterday, I don't know. I received a telegram while away: "Mother is dead".

The sad thing is, the one who should see it, won't. The bastid wouldn't even lower the flag.
