There MUST be a clause in the Constitution that requires the Senate to offer their advice and consent within "X" amount of time. The way it is written seemed like they should have been required to do it anyway but apparently not well-written enough to force them to do it.

Look up what it takes to create a new amendment, and then look at the current Congress.

Then, contact your local Democratic Party organization and volunteer to do something that will actually help. Thanks.

Why not propose an amendment that says all Supreme Court nominees have to be Democrats, if we're not worrying about what is realistic.
